As far as website builders go, Wix has a long and interesting history. It was a pioneer in simplifying web building (and since we’re all about simplification, we really admire that!), and it is constantly rolling out new features and updates. If you’re a Wix user or ever considered using Wix (especially in the past), you must have heard all sorts of horror stories about how you basically couldn’t get a site ranked on Google if you were on Wix, that their URLs were a crazy mishmash of characters, etc. While it is quite true that there was a time that Wix wasn’t first on anyone’s list of SEO friendly website builders, that changed somewhere along the line and they really have redeemed themselves in the SEO universe. Nowadays, SEO for a Wix website is not complicated and they stand out because of the high quality of their resources and search engine optimisation knowledge base.
